I found this recipe from the Iowa Girl Eats blog and I’m so happy I did. See I have a love affair with anything buffalo and this healthy dish hits the spot. Not the typical BLT this also adds some Avacado…I urge you all to try this out if you’re also a buffalo flavor fan! You can find her recipe HERE.
I thought I would try something different. I’m reading up on Food Styling and Food Photography and they talk about styling a sandwich and tricks no one would think that goes into styling such a “simple” dish like folding the meat (which I forgot to do), using toothpicks to keep tomato and pickle in place (forgot to do that as well) oh and I forgot the onion but only due to the fact that I did not have any in the house. Man is it tough to style a sandwich! I don’t really think my sandwich holds any enticing, thought provoking qualities but I wanted to post it anyway…maybe one day I can look back on this sandwich and think “wow I have come a long way” and show you a deliciously stacked cold cut sandwich! Until then…
I have ventured out of my comfort zone and tried my hand at an Asian cuisine. The Chinese noodles look very similar to Ramen noodles once they are tender but I assure you, the quality is much better. You can find the recipe HERE from Eating Well.
Well I have a love affair with Eggs…I can some mean Eggs. Omelette is my specialty and my husband just loves it when I cook eggs over easy or soft-boiled smashed with butter, salt & pepper (my mom used to make eggs this way for us when we were younger). I like to experiment with Eggs because they are so affordable and if I screw up I know I have 10 more waiting to meet their maker.
Here is a spin on the classic egg sandwich. I added jalapeno’s, salsa, pepper jack cheese, a dollop of sour cream and called is Southwestern. Enjoy!
If you know me then you know I love anything that has Banana’s as an ingredient. Because I have to be in the mood for pancakes, my husband was psyched to know I was making this for breakfast this morning. He loves anything that is sweet…someone needs to have a sweet tooth in the family right? He holds that in ours 🙂 I loved these fluffy pancakes, they hit the spot but in hindsight I would have made them green! Happy St. Patty’s Day!
This little dessert has my heart. Not only was it super easy to make but it tastes so freaking good! I’m not a super huge sweet tooth when it comes to baked goods but this perfect delight suits me perfect. It was also gone in two days which is good and bad; good because I hate to waste food and bad because Summer is around the corner, the last thing I want to do is bake, eat, photograph…rinse and repeat.I didn’t have Raspberry Jam on hand so I substituted with Strawberry. I can’t wait to try some other variations!
I found this off of Real Simple, you can find the recipe HERE. I’m totally making this at the next Girl’s Night 😉
I made this amazing breakfast recipe for my love the weekend before Valentine’s Day and boy were they beautiful to photograph, hearty and delicious! Next time I would make them a little thinner, they were so thick I could barely get one down! My husband loved them and what’s great about this recipe is you can substitute and change up the filling. Blueberries, bananas, cherries…oh I’m starting to get hungry again just thinking of the variations!
